I'm so excited to be sharing GOING GREEN with the world - it's available online and in bookstores on March 21st! GOING GREEN is a story set in the future when chloroplasts have been genetically modified and are used to enhance humans. It’s a book about choices and consequences, about true happiness and real fear, about racism and appreciation of differences, and about extreme opposing political views. Action. Drama. Humor. Love. Check out the Books page to read more about GOING GREEN! Special thanks to … my cover artist, Randy Kintz, my cover designer, Kevin Snyder, and my publisher, Not a Pipe Publishing! When asked about what I wanted to tell readers about my book, I realized there were many things I wanted to share. It's a coming-of-age-story, set over 120 years in the future, but still relevant to our world today. It's about realizing that our world isn't "black and white," that "good" people can be part of a "bad" group and "bad" people can be a part of something that is good. It's about making choices then living with the consequences that come because of those choices, or or dealing with the consequences because we put off making the choice. At some point, we all have to choose, and sometimes, we figure out later that we made the wrong choice. But that's growing up. Our choices and our consequences become our own. How we handle it - that's what defines who we are. "Choices are being made, with or without you. You can't just sit on the sidelines and say you're not on either team. It doesn't work that way. Because eventually, it will affect you. And your family. Directly. And because you didn't make a choice, it will be made for you." (excerpt from GOING GREEN)
